Lim fx, Inc.’s (d/b/a “lim f (x)”) (“we” "us” or “our”) Privacy Policy provides information about our privacy practices and governs the manner in which the lim f (x) online tutoring program collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from limfx.org website Users (each, “User”) of its limfx.org website and the lim f (x) online tutoring sessions. The website (“Site”), limfx.org, is owned and operated by Lim fx, Inc. This Privacy Policy covers lim f (x)’s practices regarding information collected from its Site. 

By visiting the Site, contacting us by email or telephone, engaging with us on social media, interacting with us in any way, or utilizing any of our services, you consent to be bound by this Privacy Policy. Do not use this Site if you do not agree to the Privacy Policy.

Information Collected

lim f (x) values your privacy. lim f (x) provides free online tutoring, and, therefore, neither collects nor processes any payment information. limfx.org is also an ad-free Site, therefore, it neither generates nor collects data on how Users interact with ads displayed on its Site because there are no ads displayed on its website. Still, lim f (x) may collect personal information through its website. Personal information is information that can identify an individual on its own or in combination with other data. Examples include, but are not limited to, your name, your email address, your telephone number, your voice and likeness information, your reviews and testimonials, and other information gained through utilization of the lim f (x) online tutoring program. Additionally, lim f (x) may request personal information from you in order for you to participate in the lim f (x) online tutoring program. Participation in the lim f (x) online tutoring program is voluntary, and you may choose not to disclose your personal information by not participating in the lim f (x) online tutoring program. 

If you communicate with lim f (x) or its affiliates by e-mail; make telephone or cell phone calls or texts; communicate through electronic devices or other interactive devices; or otherwise communicate with lim f (x) or its affiliates by any means, any information provided in such communications may be collected by lim f (x).

You may choose to provide a testimonial or review of the lim f (x) online tutoring program, and that review may include personal information. We may post testimonials or reviews on our Site that may contain personally identifiable information; however, if/when that happens, we will obtain the User’s consent via email or other means prior to posting the testimonial, which authorizes us to post certain information along with their testimonial.

We may store your personal information on servers, computers, or other media located in the United States. 

Cookies, Site Tracking, and Data Analytics

lim f (x) may automatically collect certain information as you visit or interact with our Site. lim f (x) uses third-party “cookies” to automatically gather certain information from website Users. This information is aggregated with all other User data. These third parties may use web logs or web beacons, and they may set and access cookies on your computer or other device. Accordingly, we may automatically collect and store non-personally identifying information through the use of these technologies. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, clickstream, and/or field input data. You can decline to accept cookies. 

Disclosure of Collected Information and Data Security

We do not rent, sell, or otherwise give any personal information we collect to any third parties. lim f (x) may disclose personally identifiable information at the request of law enforcement or governmental agencies or in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, to establish, protect, or exercise lim f (x)’s legal or other rights or to defend against a legal claim or as otherwise required or allowed by law. lim f (x) may disclose personally identifiable information in order to protect the rights, property, or safety of a User or any other person. lim f (x) may disclose personally identifiable information to investigate or prevent a violation by User of any contractual or other relationship with lim f (x) or the perpetration of any illegal or harmful activity.

lim f (x) discloses personally identifying information only to its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents who need to know that information to provide the lim f (x) online tutoring program. lim f (x) will take reasonable precautions to keep personal information Users submit safe, but lim f (x) cannot guarantee that the information will be completely secure. lim f (x) is not responsible for the circumvention of any security measures relating to the Site by any User or third party. 

Retention and Deletion of Collected Information

We will retain your personal information while participating in the lim f (x) online tutoring program or while it is necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, to establish legal defenses, to prevent fraud, and to comply with applicable laws. These needs can vary based upon the data type and the context of the services, and thus retention duration will vary as well. You may request that we delete your personal information by emailing carter@limfx.org.

Canada Residents - Implied Consent under CASL

Individuals in Canada who contact us and/or provide their telephone number or email address are providing implied consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for us to send them electronic marketing communications under CASL. If you do not wish to give this consent under CASL, please do not provide your telephone number or email address. You may cancel this implied consent at any time by opting out as described in this Privacy Policy. 

International Users

lim f (x) is based, and this Site is hosted, in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, then you may be in a location with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law. You understand that by being a User of the Site and/or by entering into an agreement with us for the provision of online tutoring services, that you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your data in the U.S. The laws in your jurisdiction may permit you to request that we: provide access to and/or a copy of certain information that we hold about you; prevent the processing of your information for direct-marketing purposes; update information that is out of date or incorrect; delete certain information related to you; restrict processing; transfer your information; and/or revoke your consent for the processing of your information. We will consider all requests and will provide a response within the time period required by applicable laws. We may request that you provide us with additional information in order to confirm your identity before responding to your request.

If any material or software on this website is contrary to the laws of the place where you are when you access this website, this this website is not intended for you; please discontinue use. You are responsible for informing yourself of the laws of your jurisdiction and complying with them. 

Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to modify and revise this Privacy Policy without notice, so please review it frequently. Your continued use of our website and/or services after we have revised our Privacy Policy indicates your agreement to the changes unless you notify us otherwise.
